Squishy

We generally try to maintain a sense of humor about life and everything in it ... even if your feelings get hurt ... or your pride ... or your self-esteem sustains a fracture ...

Megan, Lex and I were cuddling in my bed the other day - here is how the conversation went:


Megan: MOM ... I just LOVE cuddling you.

Mom: I love you too Pidge.

Megan: No, but seriously ... you are so soft and squishy. Cuddling is FANTASTIC!!


At this point, Lex and I start to laugh pretty hard. Frankly, it was either laugh or cry at this point. Megan notices that we are laughing a bit harder than necessary and decides to continue after smashing her face into my chest and squeezing hard ...


Megan: I mean it Mom! I LOVE cuddling with you.

Mom: (Still laughing) It's okay Pidge, I know what you mean.

Megan: Hey, don't worry about it. I don't work out either!


That would be the point we lost it. There are some words that should be banned ... and SQUISHY is at the top of that list. I looked it up and there are PLENTY of synonyms for soft without breaking out the word SQUISHY.

I have to go now ... my eliptical is calling my name ...
