The concept for this portion of the party was to allow the girls to design their own runway outfit. They started with a solid color plastic tablecloth .. and then embellished it with flowers, sequins, jewels, tulle, ribbon, etc.
Glue dots were the secret weapon here! They held like crazy and we didn't have to mess with hot glue, plastic and children!
I thought all the girls did really well, but here are a few of my personal favorites. We took a photo of them with the runway backdrop before the big finale!
The finale was a runway show under the tent .. complete with an emcee and an introduction of each girl and her personal favorites and outfit description.
We invited the parents to watch the runway show .. only if they promised to whistle and cheer for the models .. and stay for a light lunch afterwards.
