Megan's Sweet Delights

Megan is doing a baking project in support of the "Great American Bake Sale" .. all of the proceeds are donated to programs designed to fight childhood hunger in America.  We've been playing with some recipes to help her decide what to offer on her order form.  These are so simple .. it is almost embarrassing to share!  We've had a handful of people sample them and the response is overwhelmingly "FANTASTIC" with a little "EVIL" on the side!!

Here are the steps:

  • Take a bag of Oreos and place them into a Ziploc bag -- smash them up good
  • Place the smashed up Oreos in a bowl and add a package of cream cheese -- mix together well
  • Place in the freezer for a few minutes to harden up a big
  • Roll into balls (you may want to put them back in the freezer for a bit)
  • Dip in melted chocolate
Working with kids, we only dipped the top half of the "cake ball" in chocolate.  Rach then melted some white and added stripes so they looked cooler.

These are perfect for those times when you really want to make an effort to do something nice .. but you just don't have all day to dedicate to the treat!  We were done in under an hour and it is so easy that the kids can help!
